lounging

its summertime

well. somewhat. i think the 4legged family members are getting more lounge time with the hot weather. but i try to join them as much as possible.

what does this mean? i am buying a weber grill tomorrow. a sign of domesticity? the bubba in me coming out? starting a grillout war with my neighbors? actually, its because i want out of the kitchen. even though lately all we've been eating is salads. we have a BOUNTY of squash from our bi-weekly garden box from a local farm. i want to grill veggies all summer. corn, eggplant, portabellas, green peppers, i even found a recipe to make a pizza on it. pull up a beer. lets grill.

thanks for swinging by here. its been a bit dusty and moldy i know. words are sometimes in my brain. but not been as easy to get on paper. i mean computer.

im dreaming up garden plans and putting in a few plants and going to be spending time getting some plots ready for a fall veggie garden. im knitting like a good stitch bitch. even in a class once a week for a few weeks. i'm good at making a headband if you need one.

and riding bikes. i plan to ride to san marcos 5mile dam in the next coming weeks. im sure the water is up. sweet. the sweat factor is in full effect here.

gardening is good. i think i'm going to set some time aside for it this year. i would eventually like to turn my front yard into a garden of native prairie perennials. aside from a very small patch where my composter sits and a parking pad and a garage [pretty redundant auto infrastructure] my inner city lot does not have a back yard.

wool headbands?

you texans are hardcore!
