bens return to drinking ride
well. with the middle east violence, the earthquake/tsunami killing 300 in Indonesia, the tropical despression forming and heading toward N. Carolina, the uproar over Bush saying 'shit' and now its being reported carmen electra and dood looks like a girl dave navarro have split. it prolly is the end of the world. at least as we know it.
im still being one of those bothersome texans complaining about the heat. i know that when u live here...its sorta forbidden to complain about the heat. the heat is a fact. the humidity is a fact. no bitchin. but damnit. its freakin hot and soupy. makes me sluggish. and i swear my brain doesn't work as well. everything is slower. mushy. sweeping the house makes me sweat. i even took a nap saturday. seems all i want to do is be horizontal. or in barton springs.
ok i'll shut up bout that. we rode with ben saturday nite for his return to drinking ride. i like ben. he was involved in a crash a year ago that put him in a neck brace. he healed up fine and im thankful all went ok with that.
we started out at little city on congress and it was follow the leader to an undisclosed location (but someone slipped and gave it up before we left). then when ben made his move, anyone could try to pass him. nick took the honors and we all drank to ben. a nice little ride in the evening time.
starting the ride - easy riding through town.
just simply riding bikes.
so overcome by dustins cutoffs & whitneys trackframe, i was shakey. metro can rock the hotpants.
nick thought he could escape the camera. you can always tell bike people out drinking: beer and water cups.

Feel free to complain about the heat. If I'm allowed to whine about the rain here, you are more than welcome to bend my ear about the heat there. Looks like it was a wicked fun ride.
